What we cover

Services that are useful to people living in Japan but exist only in Japanese: cashback and points sites, bank accounts, mobile plans, remittance, and the everyday admin around them. Each guide translates the real screens and explains the rules as written in the service’s own terms and help pages.

How we make money, and what that changes

Some links on this site are referral or affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through them, the service pays us a commission or points. It never changes the price you pay. Pages that contain such links say so at the top. We do not accept payment to write about a service, we do not publish reviews written by the services themselves, and we say plainly when something is not worth your time.

How we check facts

Every figure (rates, fees, limits, conditions) is taken from the official page or help center of the service and carries the date we checked it. Rates on cashback sites change daily, so the offer page always wins over anything written here. If you find an error, tell us by email at hq@saveinjapan.blog and we will fix the page and note the correction.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with Hapitas, OZVISION, or any bank, carrier or shop mentioned on this site, and we are not financial, tax or immigration advisers. Nothing here is advice for your personal situation; it is a translation of how the services work, with our opinion of whether they are worth using.
